Description: Crews from Stratton, Swindon and Westlea Fire Station have attended to a domestic fire at a premises Cherry Orchard, Highworth, Swindon. Stratton Fire Station were initially mobilised to alarms sounding at the premises, however there was a report of smoke in the kitchen by the alarm collecting centre and therefore additional resources were sent. Upon arrival, the crews discovered a fire involving cooking on the hob, which was out on arrival. The crew provided first aid to the occupant who had suffered minor smoke inhalation and they were treated by the Ambulance Service. The crews carried out natural ventilation to clear the property of smoke and used a gas air monitor to check the air for any harmful gases.
