Description: 10:41 - Crew from Westlea Fire Station were mobilised to a chimney fire in Royal Wootton Bassett. The crew extinguished the chimney fire using hose rose and brush, checks were made to make sure the fire had not spread, roof void was checked and confirmed no fire spread. Roof void was checked for internal temperature but was rising, crews used a 10 meter ladder and hose reel jet externally to apply cooling spray to the internal chimney flue to cool it down . Fire extinguished and roof void checked, internal temperature now stabilised and not rising chimney gear, small hose, 10m ladder, hose reel jet and thermal imaging camera used.
