Description: A hoax emergency call to the Fire Service was made this afternoon from a location in Poole. The call was made using a mobile phone which meant that the hoax caller's location showed up on the mobilising system map. Details were passed to the Police and it was established that a young child may have been playing with the phone. Always ensure that you keep your phone locked and safe from potential misuse. Our emergency resources could be required for genuine emergencies at any time, and hoax calls potentially take those resources away unnecessarily.
