Rescue from Height Medical Immediate Danger – Whites Hill , Ramsbury , Wiltshire

Time: 12:12pm

Description: At 12:12pm Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service Control Room received a call from a member of the public who had crashed into a tree following their para-glider collapsed. Crews from Marlborough and Swindon Fire Station attended the incident to rescue the member of the public from the tree. They had assistance from an Aerial Ladder Platform from Swindon as well as technical rope rescue teams from Chippenham and Trowbridge Fire Station. The casualty was approximately 25-30 metres high in the tree and was rescued using a combination of the aerial platform and tech-rescue teams. The casualty was given a precautionary check by the Ambulance Service to assess any injuries they may have sustained.
