Date: 4th July, 2017
A charity car wash is being held in Devizes this Saturday (8 July) in aid of the Fire Fighters Charity and the Epilepsy Society.
The event, which is being organised by local firefighters at the fire station in Southbroom Road, will run between 10am and 2pm.
As well as washing cars in return for donations, the crew will be able to advise on home fire safety and provide information to anyone interested in joining Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service as an on-call firefighter.
The Fire Fighters Charity – www.firefighterscharity.org.uk– provides help to serving and retired personnel, their widows/widowers and young dependants through the provision of sheltered accommodation, recuperative facilities, rehabilitation and therapy, as well as giving financial support to those who need it.
The Epilepsy Society – www.epilepsysociety.org.uk– is supporting Devizes firefighter Mike Cleaver, his wife Laura and their family, after their daughter Poppy was diagnosed with epilepsy.
