Description: Multiple calls were received reporting a car fire in a layby on the A303 at West Knoyle this morning. Two fire appliances were mobilised from Mere and Gillingham. On arrival the vehicle was well alight. Firefighters extinguished the fire using two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet. Firefighting foam and a dry powder extinguisher were also used.
