Bridport fire station open day this Saturday

Date: 2nd September, 2025

Bridport Fire Station will be holding an open day on Saturday 6th September, coinciding with Bridport’s Hat Festival. The doors are set to open from 10am until 4pm and money raised will be donated to the Fire Fighters Charity.

On the day, visitors will have the chance to explore the station’s appliances and enjoy a wide range of activities including crockery smash, face painting, a tombola and ‘splat the rat’. Children are also encouraged to bring their teddy to take part in the ‘Teddy Zipline’ where their cuddly companion can take an exciting ride down the tower.

Watch Manager Steve Pask said: “We’re excited to be able to hold an open day here at Bridport Fire Station and meet some of the community that we serve. We have plenty of activities for children with a BBQ and refreshments on offer.”

He added: “Coinciding with Bridport’s Hat Festival, we’re looking forward to seeing everyone’s Cap-tivating hats! But don’t worry, no hat necessary to attend our open day and everyone is welcome.’

A Fire Fighter’s Charity stall will be open on the day to help support fundraising efforts.

The fire station can be found on Sea Road South, Bridport.
