Description: We were called 7:41am today with reports of a large vehicle fire on the A303 between the A350 junction and Chicklade. Crews from Shaftesbury, Warminster, Mere and the water carrier from Wilton were mobilised along with an appliance from Wincanton (Devon & Somerset FRS) and on arrival found a lorry carrying straw alight. Crews extinguished the fire which started in the cab area and spread to the straw load using two main jets and two hose reel jets. The stop was in at 12:29pm and crews remained on scene until 1:00pm
