Description: Firefighters from Sherborne and Beaminster were called at 07:58am to reports of a barn fire which had spread to a field. Firefighters are currently working with colleagues from Devon and Somerset FRS and the farmer to dampen down. We expect to be on scene for the rest of the day and local residents who are concerned about smoke have been advised to close windows and doors.
Update 15.30 - this incident is still ongoing.
Update 19:00 - this incident is still ongoing. Two crews remain at the scene, supported by the farmer, they are making good progress.
Update 21:45 - the stop message for this incident has now been received. Firefighters will return in the morning to reinspect.
