Boat and water safety volunteer

We have many communities who live on board boats of various shapes and sizes, and their safety is just as important to us. We offer advice and support to these communities, but their very nature means they are mobile and so aren’t always contactable.

A lot of our water also encourages visitors due to its natural beauty, so we spend time chatting to these visitors about the correct way to dispose of their barbecues and rubbish.

The boat and water safety team will also give advice to the public on water safety, be it in the sea, a river, canal or lake, especially survival techniques in cold water.
