Hot strikes

Where there has been a property fire, we take the opportunity to educate others in the community about the importance of fire safety.

‘Hot strikes’ are carried out by firefighters from the local station, either immediately after a fire or within a few days.

If you have witnessed a fire in your community, you are more likely to take on board the fire safety messages shared by our crews. This approach also gives people the opportunity to ask questions of firefighters, to better understand how fires start and develop.
