Four Poole on-call firefighters will be tackling a different sort of blaze this week when they take part in a charity fire walk!
Watch Manager Ian Crabb and Firefighters Phil Russell, Stu Vass and Rob Clark are raising money for Forest Holme Hospice.
The four will brave temperatures of 1,200 degrees fahrenheit during the event, which is being held at Cobham Sports and Social Club in Wimborne on Thursday (16 March).
Ian said: “It’s a great feeling to know that, with every single step, we’ll be making an incredible difference to the hospice patients and their families. Normally when we see fire, we’re there to put it out, so it will be quite different to approach it and actually walk on it.”
Forest Holme Hospice Charity funds specialist care for patients living with advanced cancer and other life-limiting illnesses across East Dorset.
