Lyme Regis fire station is hosting a free community road safety session on Saturday 8 July from 10am to 1pm in partnership with Dorset Police and Kwik Fit.
These sessions are funded directly from course fees generated when motorists break the law on Dorset’s roads.
The seminar will include a tyre demonstration and simple car checks from Kwik Fit, information on what to do if you are first at the scene of an accident, as well as input from the Dorset Police Driver Awareness Tutors on how to stay safe on the road.
Refreshments will be available and those attending with have an opportunity to speak with staff about what is available to keep you and your family safe on the road. Attendees will also receive a free Kwik Fit goody bag and voucher.
Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Road Safety Manager, Ian Hopkins, said: “These community events are a fantastic way to deliver key road safety messages from different organisations, in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. We’ve had great success delivering similar courses in Bournemouth and Shaftesbury and we’re looking forward to working with the community to reduce accidents on the road.”
