Washing machine fire in Swindon

Description: At 12:21 we received a call to a domestic property reporting a washing machine alight in Welcombe Avenue, Swindon. Crews from Swindon and Stratton Fire Stations attended. Fortunately the fire was out on arrival, but crews made investigations to ensure no fire spread, and also moved the washing machine to open air. Crews then also stayed on to carry out a Safe and Well visit, checking there was adequate fire and smoke detection in the premises, and giving the occupant fire safety advice to ensure their safety
