Special Service – Weymouth

Date: 12th December, 2019

Time: 5.46pm

Description: Two pumps from Weymouth and a flexi-duty officer were mobilised to a report of a smell of gas at a property on Lennox Street, Weymouth. Once in attendance, crews used their gas monitoring equipment to check the property. The gas board also attended and confirmed there was no gas leak at the address. Crews liaised with the electricity board who were in attendance due to fault below the pavement outside the address which had interrupted the power supply. The smell from the electrical fault was mistaken for a smell of gas. The incident was left with the electricity board to investigate further.
