Description: Chippenham - two on-call crews were sent to reports of smoke coming from a shipping container. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a thermal imaging camera and hose reel jets to extinguish the fire, which involved a quantity of cardboard and paper. The fire started as a result of nearby welding operations. When carrying out any hot operations, whether as a DIY project or a contractor, it is good practice to complete a risk assessment of the area and take necessary steps to reduce the risks where possible.
