Description: At 09:04 a call was made by a neighbour reporting a shed on fire in Hastings Road, Bowerhill. One appliance from each of Melksham and Trowbridge fire stations were mobilised to the incident. Once in attendance the crews discovered that the fire had been extinguished by the occupant of the property using a garden hose, and inspected the shed to make sure everything was safe. We would always urge anyone whose property catches alight to call 999. Not only does this ensure that we will send the closest possible fire engines to you as soon as possible, but we get the best information for our crews and most importantly, it means you don't have to put yourself in danger to tackle the fire.
