RTC Person Trapped – Poole

Time: 4.55am

Description: Following a request from the Ambulance, 3 pumps from Poole and the heavy rescue unit from Dorchester were sent to a road traffic collision involving 2 large goods vehicles on Willis Way, Poole. On arrival crews found one driver physically trapped and started work to stabilise the vehicle. They worked alongside the ambulance service to free the vehicles from each other by the use of Tirfor winches and released the driver by utilising the hydraulic rescue equipment. The casualty was left in the care of the ambulance service and was taken to hospital. Dorset Police were also in attendance
