Description: At 23:59 we received a call from Wiltshire Police reporting a Road Traffic Collision on the A303 Mere Bypass, with one person reported as being trapped. One crew from each of Mere and Gillingham fire stations were mobilised, along with a further fire engine from Wincanton fire station from Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service. Upon arrival, our crew from Mere found that a car had left the road and was in the hedge, although no persons were trapped as the driver was free of the vehicle before their arrival. The crews made the scene safe for the attendance of the other emergency services.
