Rescue from Height – Swindon

Date: 24th June, 2019

Time: 2.10pm

Description: One pump from Westlea, a pump and aerial appliance from Swindon, a pump from Stratton, technical rescue teams from Chippenham and Trowbridge and specialist officers were mobilised to a report of a casualty on the roof of a premises on Whitehill Way, Swindon. On arrival crews found a male casualty 20m high on roof of building being cared for by South West Ambulance Service. The technical rescue teams and officer were stood down en route and the casualty was rescued to the ground floor using the aerial appliance, scoop stretcher and basket stretcher. The casualty was left in the care of paramedics.
