Light fitting fire – Lower Blandford Road, Poole

Date: 18th February, 2019

Time: 3:13pm

Description: Three crews from Poole fire station together with the aerial ladder platform from Westbourne to reports of a smoke filled corridor within a premises on Lower Blandford Road, Poole.  Shortly after arrival crews confirmed there was a strong smell of the smoke on the ground floor and used ladders and a thermal imaging camera to check the area. Crews confirmed that there was a small fire in one of the light fittings which had caused smoke to fill the corridor. The power was isolated and the light fitting removed.  Crews were clear from the scene by 3:47pm
