Heath fire – Winfrith

Description: Several fire crews are currently dealing with a fire involving an area of heathland and undergrowth in the vicinity of Blacknoll, near Winfrith Newburgh. Firefighters are in attendance from Wareham, Dorchester, Poole, Bere Regis, Weymouth, Swanage and Hamworthy.  Crews are using multiple hose reel jets, main jets, a ground monitor from the Unimog, and water from two water carriers. The area of heathland involved is about 60m x 30m
