Hazmat Small – Wroughton

Date: 17th April, 2019

Time: 3.07pm

Description: Wroughton - one call received from premises in Whittingham Drive reporting a possible chlorine leak following a warning alarm sounding in the plant room. The site evacuated and crews from Swindon and Westlea, along with a specialist unit from Stroud, were mobilised to the scene.  Two BA wearers in gas tight suits investigated the premises with one hose reel jet. Air monitoring equipment was also used to check the area. No readings were detected and the alarm was reset with no further activations. Crew have now left the scene.
