Fire Domestic – Swindon

Date: 10th November, 2019

Time: 11:34pm

Description: DW Fire Control received an emergency call requesting our attendance as there were 3 Carbon Monoxide detectors activating in the property. At the time of call the occupant was asked to leave the property. Stratton crew arrived and investigated the cause of the alarms.  The crew found a bucket of hot ash with plastic on top that was smouldering. Crew extinguished this with water and provided advice to the occupant. This occupant was very lucky to have alarms alerting them to the potential hazard that was revealed.
