Fire Domestic- Marnhull

Time: 12:07pm

Description: At 12:07 Fire control took the first of a number of 999 calls to reports of a house on fire and flames coming from the roof. One fire engine from Sturminster Newton and Gillingham were mobilised and an aerial appliances from Yeovil. On arrival the crews requested 3 additional appliances which came from Shaftesbury and Sherborne along with a command unit from Hamworthy. Crews worked to extinguish the fire using 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets and 1 main line. A re inspection will take place tonight. The British Red Cross Emergency Response team also attended to provide assistance to the occupant. A number of standby moves were made to ensure fire cover around the area.
