Commercial Fire

Description: At 06:11 this morning, Fire Control received a call to a smoke alarm sounding and visible smoke in a commercial premises on Crescent Street, Weymouth. 2 fire engines from Weymouth Fire Station and 1 from Portland attended. After investigation, it was found that there had ben a fire in an overheated fluorescent light fitting. The crews made safe by isolating the power to the lighting circuit, using a thermal imaging camera to assist in ensuring it was safe. The incident was under control by 06:36
