Assisting Ambulance with Patient Extrication – A351, Corfe Castle

Date: 1st July, 2019

Time: 1:35pm

Description: Crews from Swanage and Poole Fire Station as well as fire service officers attended an incident near to Corfe Castle, Dorset, to assist the Ambulance Service. Technical rescue crews from Poole Fire Station attended the scene to assist the Ambulance with extrication a patient who had sustained an injury whilst walking on a steep hill. Crews assisted using a basket stretcher to move the casualty off of the hill and into a road ambulance, where the casualty was taken to hospital.
