The Fire and Rescue Service in Dorset has had a long association with the Prince’s Trust, having been a franchise holder for delivering the team programme for nearly 20 years.
Since 1997, we have run over 100 programmes, helping young people aged between 16 and 25 to recognise and achieve their potential, and assisting them to move onto a positive outcome, be that work, education, training or volunteering.
We are continually one of the highest performing franchises in the South West and have received a number of awards for the quality of our programme.
Young people are recruited from different backgrounds and the Trust targets those who are:
- Long term unemployed
- In or leaving the care system
- Young offenders
- Educational underachievers
