Education activity archive

Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service’s Education Team have been busy producing online resources for families to assist with home-learning and helping younger children understand how they can stay safe at home during the coronavirus pandemic.

Each week a new fire safety topic has been introduced, based around a story which children can listen to alongside activities. The resources include work and colouring sheets as well as “Meet the Firefighter” challenges and “Glue and Make” videos.

Pages and activities from previous weeks:

Sam’s Sad Day

Sam is a sand lizard who lives on the heathlands of Dorset. One day something sad happens to Sam and his friends.

Frances the Firefly

Frances the Firefly has a tale to tell about the dangers of fire and the importance of fire safety.

No Dragon’s For Tea

We are really lucky to have Jean E Pendziwol read her amazing story “No Dragons for Tea” for you. She wrote this story to help her own little girl understand the importance of fire safety without being scared.
